This policy describes the SMS (text message) program operated by Clerxi LLC (“Clerxi”) for users of the Clerxi web platform, the Clerxi mobile application, and the Worksite Sentinel mobile application (together, the “Service”). It explains who receives messages, what messages contain, how recipients consent, how they can get help, and how they can opt out at any time.
Clerxi is a workforce-and-compliance platform used by construction organizations to coordinate jobsite operations, payroll, and claim documentation. SMS is used to deliver time-sensitive workforce alerts and account messages tied to that activity.
Program name and sender
Messages are sent under the brand Clerxi. The sender identifier (“Reply STOP to opt out from Clerxi”) appears in the first message a recipient receives in a new conversation and on request via the HELP keyword.
Message categories
The Clerxi SMS program sends the following message types:
- Account security (2FA / login): one-time passcodes, sign-in confirmations, password-reset codes, and account-security alerts. Triggered by a recipient action; not promotional.
- Project and crew alerts: notice-letter deadlines, RFI replies, claim-event SLAs, schedule changes, and supervisor messages tied to the recipient’s assigned project. Triggered by activity inside the Service.
- Clock-in / clock-out reminders: shift-start and shift-end reminders, geofence confirmations, and missed-clock alerts delivered through the Clerxi mobile app or the Worksite Sentinel mobile app. Tied to the recipient’s active work schedule.
- Demo confirmations and sales follow-up: when a person submits a demo request on
clerxi.ai/demoand provides a phone number with explicit SMS consent, Clerxi may send a confirmation message and brief follow-up texts about scheduling the demo.
Clerxi does not use SMS for bulk marketing, third-party promotions, lead-list outreach, or any messaging unrelated to the recipient’s relationship with Clerxi or their Organization.
How recipients consent (opt-in)
Workforce recipients (primary path)
Most Clerxi SMS recipients are workforce members invited to the Service by their employer (the “Organization”). The opt-in flow is:
- The Organization administrator adds a crew member’s name and mobile number to the Service as part of normal workforce onboarding. The administrator confirms in the Service that they have obtained the worker’s permission to enter that number.
- Clerxi sends the worker an initial verification SMS that identifies Clerxi as the sender, describes the message program (project alerts, clock-in / clock-out reminders, and account-security messages), discloses that message and data rates may apply, and provides HELP and STOP instructions.
- The worker confirms by replying YES (or by tapping the verification link in the message). No further SMS is sent if the worker does not confirm, or if the worker replies STOP at any point.
This double-confirmation step ensures the actual recipient — not just their employer — has consented to receive SMS from Clerxi.
Demo-request recipients
When a person submits the form at clerxi.ai/demo and enters a phone number, a checkbox on the form requests explicit consent to receive SMS from Clerxi about the demo. The checkbox is unchecked by default. Submitting the form without checking the box does not enroll the phone number in SMS.
Message frequency
Message frequency is recurring and varies based on each recipient’s activity inside the Service. There is no fixed daily or weekly cap because workforce messages are event-driven: a recipient with an active shift on a busy project will receive more messages than one whose project is dormant. Recipients can pause or stop messages at any time using the STOP keyword.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates for SMS and MMS apply to messages sent and received under the Clerxi program. Clerxi does not charge a separate fee for SMS, but your mobile carrier’s rates and your mobile plan will determine any charges to you.
Getting help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any Clerxi SMS to receive a message identifying the sender (Clerxi), describing the program, and providing contact information at support@clerxi.com. You can also contact support at any time, with or without sending HELP, at the same address.
Opting out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any Clerxi SMS to unsubscribe from the program. Once received, Clerxi will:
- Send a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out and stating that you will not receive further messages.
- Stop sending all program messages to that phone number, including project alerts, clock-in / clock-out reminders, demo-related messages, and (where the recipient is the account holder) non-security account messages.
Recipients may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, which are treated the same as STOP. If a recipient opts out and later wishes to re-enroll, they can do so by contacting their Organization administrator or by submitting a new opt-in through the channels described above.
Account-security messages (2FA / login codes) are transactional and required for account access. If a recipient who is the account holder opts out of SMS entirely, they should switch their account’s two-factor authentication method to an authenticator app or email code, or sign out of the account.
Privacy and data handling
Clerxi’s handling of phone numbers and SMS metadata is governed by the Clerxi Privacy Policy. In summary: phone numbers are stored on Clerxi’s servers in the United States, are used only to deliver the SMS program described in this policy, and are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent records are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS is delivered by Clerxi’s SMS subprocessor; that subprocessor is contractually limited to processing the SMS traffic on Clerxi’s behalf and may not use the data for any other purpose.
Terms of service
Use of the Clerxi SMS program is also subject to the Clerxi Terms of Service. Where this policy and the Terms of Service conflict on a topic specific to SMS, this policy controls for that topic.
Changes to this policy
Clerxi may update this policy as the SMS program evolves or as carrier and regulatory requirements change. When we make material changes — for example, adding a new message category or changing the opt-in flow — we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, send a notice to active recipients in advance. Continued participation in the SMS program after the effective date of an updated policy indicates acceptance of the changes.
